# Ambala

> Ambala Foods sells South Asian sweets (mithai), desserts and savoury snacks, made to recipes established in 1965 and sold online and through its UK stores for collection or delivery.

Ambala was founded in 1965 by Mohammed Ali Khan, who named the company after the Indian city he was born in, and grew from a single shop on Drummond Street in London NW1 into a UK-wide confectionery and savoury brand. Prices are in GBP and the storefront serves the UK.

The range covers mithai (barfi, ladoo, halwa, sheera and mixed boxes), desserts, savoury snacks, pickles and chutneys, alongside gifting ranges built around Eid, Diwali, weddings, engagements and new babies. An order is placed against a chosen store and a collection or delivery slot, with nationwide courier delivery available to most UK postcodes.
