Mr Mohammed Ali Khan, entrepeneur and founder of the Ambala Foods Company, named the firm after the city in India where he was born.

From humble dwellings in High Holborn WC1, London, Mr. Mohammed Ali Khan begins creating his works of art

The first store opens in Drummond Street, London NW1.

We expand into our second manufacturing site, in Commercial Road, London E1.

Steady growth means larger premises in Narrow Street, London E15.

A decade of ever-increasing demand governs a move to a larger site in Hackney Marshes, London E9.

Ambala's constant drive to develop culminates in the opening of a state-of-the art purpose-built facility in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1LT, Hertfordshire.

We expand into our second manufacturing site, in Commercial Road, London E1.

For the development of new ideas, an additional factory in St Albans is acquired.
